Privacy Policy/Your Privacy Rights

The International Cancer Expert Corps (“ICEC” or “we” or “our” or “us”) is the owner of the iceccancer.org site (“Site”) and therefore recognizes that users may have concerns about privacy issues as they navigate the Internet. ICEC is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit and interact with the Site. We recommend visiting the Federal Trade Commission website for more information about general privacy issues. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) only applies to the Site. By providing any information to ICEC through the Site, you agree such information can be used and shared in accordance with this Policy.

ICEC will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the information you provide remains private, and is collected, used, and/or shared in accordance with this Policy.

The effective date of this Policy is January 1st, 2015.

Policy Changes

ICEC may update this Policy from time to time. Except as noted herein, any changes to this Policy will be posted below for a period of 30 days and will be effective and be immediately incorporated into this Policy when posted.

Your continued use of the Site after any changes are made to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of such changes. If any of the changes to this Policy affect how ICEC treats or handles personally identifiable information (“PII”) already provided by you through the Site, ICEC will notify you by e-mail and give you 30 days to opt out of the changes before such changes are implemented.

Collected Information

We collect information about the users of our Site. This information helps us determine which parts of the Site visitors find most valuable as well as how we can continually improve the services we provide. User identities remain anonymous to us unless the user provides PII as a part of the Site registration process. We collect and use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers and to administer our Site.

Users may use the Site without registering but registration must occur in order to use any of the personalization services. Our site’s registration form requires specific contact information that includes PII: name, e-mail address, address, or to conduct e-commerce. The contact information is used to contact users when necessary. Unique identifiers (such as IDs and passwords) are collected to verify the visitor’s identity and for use as account numbers in our record system.

Third Party Collection and Use of Anonymous Data

We are committed to ensuring that our Site contains content that is valuable and useful to our customers and potential customers who visit. To assist us in this, from time to time, we may implement the Google analytics demographics and interest reporting features on our Site. These tools allow us to review anonymous data regarding the gender, age and interests of Site visitors and adapt our Site content to better reflect their needs. Although this information is collected through your Google ad settings, it is not provided to us in a personally identifiable format. This means we cannot identify what information is about you, and we will not try to figure it out. If we do utilize this feature, you can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Google Ad settings or through the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The Site may also use Google analytics data and the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our Site. Site visitors may opt out of the DoubleClick cookie by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page or they may opt out of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics opt-out page. ICEC will disclose your PII or other information if it reasonably believes it is required to do so by law or in cooperation with a governmental or law enforcement investigation. ICEC may share your PII or other information in order to avoid imminent physical harm to any person or harm to any ICEC property. ICEC may also share your PII or other information with a third party if ICEC’s ownership status changes, such as it being acquired.

Review of Collected PII

If you would like to review, edit, or delete any of the PII ICEC collected from you through the Site, or wish ICEC to cease using your PII in the manners specified in this Policy, please contact ICEC at info@iceccancer.org Please note that ICEC will do its best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee we can remove all PII from the specified uses. Therefore, please be as specific as possible in your request. If the request relates to information that ICEC needs to make the Site function properly for you, you may not be able to use the Site properly moving forward.

Please note that ICEC reserves the right to maintain proper business records as required by law, or for otherwise legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law, even if such records contain your PII.

ICEC does not knowingly collect any information from minors, nor is the Site directed at or intended for minors. If a minor uploads/posts information to the Site that is publically available, and the minor subsequently wants that same information deleted, the minor has a right to request that said information be removed from public viewing. Please note that any removal of content by us does not ensure or guarantee complete or comprehensive removal of the content in all places. The content may have been shared or reposted by other parties, or federal or state law may require maintenance of the content or information.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites not controlled nor affiliated with ICEC. These links are provided solely as a convenience to users and not as an endorsement by ICEC of the contents on such third-party websites. ICEC is not responsible for the content or privacy practices/data collection of linked third-party sites and does not make any representations regarding the content or accuracy of materials on such third-party websites. Linking to third-party websites are performed at your own risk. You should review the privacy/data collection practices of any third-party websites to see how they collect and use information.

ICEC does not represent nor guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of communications posted by users or endorses any opinions expressed by users on third-party websites. You acknowledge that any reliance on material posted by other users on third-party websites will be done at your own risk.

E-mail Messages

ICEC communicates with its users by email for specific Site -related functions, such as password reminders. . If you would like to opt out of receiving promotional emails from ICEC, please follow the opt out instructions at the bottom of the email or send us a detailed email to info@iceccancer.org.

Cookies

ICEC may use cookies when you visit the Site. . A cookie is a file that is transmitted to your computer when you visit the Site. Cookies allow us to identify you as a user when you return to the Site. Cookies may also collect your user preferences when you visit the Site. ICEC does not use cookies to collect any PII about users, nor do we sell or make them available to other organizations.

However, please bear in mind that doing this prevents the Site from recognizing you as a previous user of the Site and may prevent you from using some features on the Site. Security

Your Site account that contains your information is password protected and should never be shared with anyone. The Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.

While ICEC takes the issue of protecting your PII seriously, you should exercise discretion in what information you disclose and/or transmit to the Site. ICEC cannot guarantee that information sent over the Internet is fully secure, and therefore the transmitted information may be intercepted by others before it reaches us. If you are concerned about sending information to us over the Internet, please send the information by mail or call us to make other arrangements. ICEC is not responsible for the security of information sent over the Internet.

ICEC retains collected information for a reasonable amount of time in order to fulfill the stated purpose for why the information was collected. ICEC will also retain collected information connected to business records for periods of time required by law. If ICEC determines that collected information is no longer needed, it will delete such information. Our collection times will be consistent with applicable law. ICEC will maintain a membership list that includes some PII.

Miscellaneous

ICEC encourages visitors to submit feedback. You agree that ICEC has an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use any feedback that is submitted through the Site for marketing purposes or to contact you for more information.
