Mentorship and Partnership Programs
The mission of the International Cancer Expert Corps (ICEC) is to reduce mortality and improve the quality of life for people with cancer in low- and middle-income countries as well as for indigenous and geographically underserved populations in upper-income countries and regions worldwide. The ICEC addresses its mission through a network of expert cancer professionals, primarily in high income countries, who mentor individuals or regional groups in low- and middle-income countries to help them develop sustainable expertise to, in turn, provide expert cancer care to their patients. As the capability of individuals or cancer care groups improves, the mentoring relationships can become partnerships to exponentially expand their newly gained expertise in cancer care regionally and beyond.
