Tim R. Williams, MD

Tim R. Williams M.D., is the Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, where he has practiced as a board certified radiation oncologist since 1989.

Dr. Williams completed his undergraduate education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, cum laude, in 1978. His medical education was at the Medical College of Georgia (1983), and his residency was at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida (1987). Before coming to Boca Raton he was an Assistant Professor at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University.

In addition to full time clinical practice, Dr. Williams is the Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Radiation Oncology. He has also served as President of the Board of Trustees of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, President of the Florida Radiological Society, and Councilor to the American College of Radiology from the state of Florida. Additionally, he serves as the Medical Director of the radiation therapy technology training program for Broward College, is a member of the Advisory Committee for Radiation Protection for the State of Florida Department of Health, and is a member of the Medical Executive Committee of Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
