Eugenia (Nina) Wendling
Eugenia (Nina) Wendling has dedicated nearly 30 years to public service, the last ten years working within the cancer community. She has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the International Cancer Expert Corps (ICEC) since May 2015. In this role, Ms. Wendling provides oversight to achieve ICEC’s vision through strategic planning, organizational development, program implementation, and progress assessment.
As a member of the senior leadership team, she serves as a liaison to ICEC’s global partners and works with the board of directors to implement ICEC’s programmatic strategies. Ms. Wendling directs outreach efforts developing and fostering relationships with academic medical institutions, professional societies, US government agencies, foreign government ministries of health and finance, individuals, foundations, and corporations to advance the mission of ICEC.
Ms. Wendling joined ICEC building upon her previous body of work with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS), 2006-2015, as NCCS’ Chief Operating Officer and interim Executive Director.
Ms. Wendling began her career of service in law enforcement as a special assignment officer specializing in alien fraud. After a successful career, she transitioned into management and strategic planning as a director at Education Access Strategies, Inc. Before EAS, she served as the director of development at the National Park Trust.
