ICEC is excited to announce a partnership with virtual platform Chartrounds in order to increase accessibility of cancer care expertise and expand a growing global network.
Chartrounds.org is an online program that aims to improve the quality of cancer care by connecting radiation oncologists worldwide with highly specialized, disease site-specific experts. Specifically, the Chartrounds web-based conferencing program offers radiation oncologists a scheduled one-hour case review session over the internet with a disease site-specific specialist and their peers. During a session, the radiation oncologists present their patient’s case and treatment plans. The expert-host reviews each of the submitted cases and offers practical expert advice. New data and approaches are frequently discussed.
Chartrounds Session Archives are also available with keywords and captions for those wanting asynchronous resources or unable to attend live calls.
Over the past 10 years, Chartrounds has expanded to include specialists and members from around the world with platforms specifically dedicated to radiation oncology care in Africa, India, Latin America, and the US as well as a site focused specifically on the practice of brachytherapy. The collaboration supports the existing sites of the US, India, Africa, and Latin America but will continue to expand into medical physics and radiobiology through additional webinars and lecture series.
