  • Capacity Building and Education
  • Health Policy

Clinical, Basic, or Translational Research: This pathway is intended to highlight research, either planned, ongoing, or complete, in resource-limited settings. Examples of clinical research include studies about disease epidemiology, prognostic factors, treatment toxicities, novel treatment regimens, and others. Examples of basic or translational research include studies about cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, biomarker discovery, pathogen identification, and others using human specimens or model systems.

Examples of education projects include those targeting healthcare workers (medical students, residents, fellows, physicians, nurses, dieticians, community health workers, etc.) or patients in resource-limited settings and may involve the use of telecommunication, simulation, cultural exchange, or other education methodologies.

Health Policy: This pathway is intended to highlight health policy projects, either planned, ongoing, or complete, in resource-limited settings. Examples of projects include quality improvement, implementation science, government and non-governmental organization (NGO) collaborations, cost-effectiveness analyses, resource assignment, advocacy, and others.
