Eugenia (Nina) Wendling

Eugenia (Nina) Wendling has dedicated nearly 30 years to public service, the last ten years working within the cancer community.  She has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the International Cancer Expert Corps (ICEC) since May 2015. In this role, Ms. Wendling provides oversight to achieve ICEC’s vision through strategic planning, organizational development, program implementation, and progress assessment.

As a member of the senior leadership team, she serves as a liaison to ICEC’s global partners and works with the board of directors to implement the ICEC’s programmatic strategies.  Ms. Wendling directs fundraising and outreach efforts developing and fostering relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations to advance the mission of ICEC.

Ms. Wendling joins ICEC to build upon her previous body of work with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS).  As NCCS Chief Operating Officer (2013 – 2015 position), she was responsible for operational management, development efforts, budget oversight and organizational administration.

Serving as NCCS Interim Executive Director  From (2012-2013), Ms. Wendling forged strong relationships with strategic coalitions, partner organizations, professional societies and other stakeholders to further NCCS’s public policy efforts, develop and implement an effective communications strategy, and provide programmatic and budgetary oversight. She played a significant role in the search for the new Chief Executive Officer.  Previous management positions with NCCS include Senior Director of Operations and Communications, and Senior Director of Development, sustaining the organization’s fundraising and outreach programs.

Ms. Wendling began her career of service in law enforcement. After a successful career, she transitioned into management and strategic planning as a director at Education Access Strategies, Inc. Before EAS, she served as the director of development at the National Park Trust.
